He came in at a close third. I am so proud of him.
While driving behind I spied out a few places that I would like to return to for our September paint out.
My camera didn't capture the true beauty but I try.
I finally caught some shots of a Maui Night Heron. With this stocked pond, who needs to wait until night?
We use to watch these while working parties up at Kapalua Hotel. They would sit at the edge of the Koi pond. I've never seen a more patient hunter.
My recent disappointment, my latest hen has turned out to be a rooster after all. I hand fed this guy for over a month, protecting him from Henrietta, my other hen. I've learned where the term hen pecked came from. I like them to free range but I need them to stay within a certain area so the neighbors don't become over run. One of my neighbors adores Henrietta though, and let's her visit, even sit on the couch and her husband's office chair when he is not home! This guy still runs from the cats, he hasn't seen himself in a mirror for a while.
The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world,
and they that dwell therein. Psalm 24:1
